Facing a diagnosis of pediatric leukemia is an extremely difficult challenge, involving children, families, and healthcare professionals. On top of the complexity of treatment, there are often issues such as fragmented services, lack of resources, and overburdened hospital facilities, which force many families to travel outside their region to receive appropriate care.
INFANT (INFrastructure for a PediAtric ONcology NeTwork) it was created to address these critical issues, with the goal of improving the quality and efficiency of pediatric oncology. The project aims to ensure continuity of care and simplify access to highly specialized healthcare services, optimizing available resources through the use of advanced technologies, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence.
Launched in Campania, INFANT now represents an innovative model that can be replicated on a national scale, with the potential to be applied in other regional contexts.
