Sparta: Smart City

The SPARTA project has developed a Smart Parking system introducing solutions innovative tools to encourage the user to park. The mobile app allows the driver, once indicated the destination, to access the maps and receive directions on the most "convenient" parking (in terms of: cost , proximity,..). The project involves the monitoring of air quality; the "digital signage" system to send information messages in "realtime" to drivers avoiding congestion and reducing pollution. The dashboard allows the operator to view the status of parking spaces, to determine the prices and send information messages (Proximity Info/Marketing). The dynamic determination of parking prices is elaborated thanks to an intelligent algorithm that takes into account traffic congestion, air quality, parking locations. The most convenient parking location is defined according to the destination, the availability of the driver to use public transport, the type of car (EURO 3, 4,.), the price of parking.
