The service for the IRCCS - G. Pascale Foundation handled 11 thousand calls in 2 months and is preparing to support the patients of the Ascalesi Hospital as well.

The toll-free number 800180718 managed by Innovaway for the National Cancer Institute IRCCS - G. Pascale Foundation in Naples handled 11 thousand phone calls, 5 thousand requests for information and 6 thousand for booking visits in just two months.

Born in full phase 1 of the Coronavirus emergency, to support patients remotely and thus make the booking systems, the organization of medical visits and the request for information even more efficient, the toll-free number is now ready to extend to the Ascalesi Hospital.

To do this in the best possible way, Innovaway, one of the main European companies also specializing in Digital Health, has put in place a team of ten dedicated people from its Competence Center Healthcare, a Neapolitan company that collects distinctive skills for the world of health and that works for promoting initiatives and technological solutions in all health facilities, at the forefront in this difficult time for the country.

As reported in an official note by Attilio Bianchi, General Manager of Pascale: "We have thought of establishing the toll-free number to strengthen the telephone lines of the switchboard and increase the level of contact with our patients. The call center staff has been trained within the company and where the requests are specific, the operator will ask for the patient's mobile number and call him back ".

As underlined, in turn, by Antonio Burinato, General Manager of Innovaway: "We have been working for years alongside the world of healthcare in different contexts, but with the surfacing of the Covid-19 emergency, our commitment increased and we chose to make our skills available. The service created for the National Cancer Institute IRCCS - G. Pascale Foundation of Naples arises from the need to respond to the strong flows of contacts generated by Covid-19 and, at the same time, to increase the level of relationship with cancer patients. We were able to respond with absolute promptness, confident that our service can help the citizens of the Campania Region, who in any case have important pathologies, even if different from Covid-19. Moreover, this is not an isolated initiative, because our team has been engaged for several months in an important innovation and digital transformation project of the Campania Regional Healthcare that is beginning to produce the first tangible results ".
